2015/2016 Henley

Posted: Oct 22 2015

Since, the Mid 1800's the Henley has been apart of the fashion world. Before it became a popular item, it was shirt worn by rowers in Oxfordshire, England. The under garment gained popularity and is now a staple piece in most men's wardrobe's.

What is a "Henley"?

A Henley is an under garment that can be worn by itself or under another piece of clothing like a flannel shirt or a jacket. Traditionally, the Henley has a 2 to 5 button collarless placket. Back in the day it was made from wool or cotton.

Wolf vs Goat has been making high quality Henley's for years and a new batch is about to release.

There is only one problem. We can't decide on the colors. We need four colors and hopefully you would like to help.

This year the Henley will fit like last season's and will be made out of 97% combed pima cotton ( a little read on pima cotton if you want http://arizonaexperience.org/remember/pima-cotton-boom ) and 3% elastane.

The buttons will be  Corozo made from the tagua nut.

Here are a couple pictures from last seasons Henley's.

Natural Dyed Indigo

Lumberjack red

I would like to see charcoal grey, heather grey, and navy blue.

I’d also like to see a darker green. Forest or even darker like a Hasse avocado skin, almost black would be cool.

Flecks or heathering actually sounds pretty cool, now that I think about it. Maybe have some staple/safe colors and one or two bold choices.

    Dark navy, dark olive/forest green

I think a dark green, a heathered gray, and a bright indigo would be perfect.

Looking forward to them. I’d be interested in seeing what a khaki/oatmeal color looked like. Maybe a cranberry.

I kinda like all the colors from the bamboo/sorona shirts, so I’d like the same or similar shades of charcoal, dark sienna, and natural indigo blue, personally.

    olive, flecked ecru, or gray

Please make black, charcoal, and off-white!

Boring, but I would definitely grab a charcoal or lighter grey one. Beyond that I think an olive green would be great.

Are these still going to have raw hems? Love that details.

I know I definitely would want an indigo and deep olive. A dark navy would also be great if indigo isn’t doable. Maybe a lighter grey since last year we had a charcoal but idk if I’ll buy more than two anyway and I definitely would want the indigo and deep olive.
